Abstract: Lateral epicondylitis is a tendon inflammation of the extensor muscles of the elbow. The symptoms that characterize this inflammation are: pain near or at the intersection of common extensors on the epicondyle that can radiate to the forearm and on the dorsal surface of the wrist, muscle weakness of the extensors of the wrist but not of the fingers, difficulty in extend the forearm and wrist which may persist even after local inflammation is resolved. L'epicondilite laterale ? un'infiammazione a livello tendineo dei muscoli estensori del gomito. I sintomi che caratterizzano questa infiammazione sono: dolore in prossimit? o in corrispondenza dell'intersezione degli estensori comuni sull'epicondilo che pu? irradiarsi all'avambraccio e sulla superficie dorsale del polso, debolezza muscolare degli estensori del polso ma non delle dita, difficolt? nell'estendere l'avambraccio e il polso che pu? persistere anche dopo la risoluzione dell'infiammazione locale.
