Indicators of business performance in terms of controlling

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na hodnocení finanční výkonnosti podniků pomocí nástrojů controllingu. Definuje efektivitu podnikání jako výsledek činností podniku ze dvou hledisek z pohledu financí a řízení firem. Na příkladu dvou společností obdobného oborového zaměření je výkonnost hodnocena pomocí uceleného souboru finančních a nefinančních klíčových ukazatelů výkonnosti, mezi kterými existuje vztah a poskytují komplexní obrázek o hospodaření podniku. Tyto indikátory obvykle bývají součástí manažerských výkazů, které zrcadlí efektivitu podniku ve vazbě na cíle společnosti, které jsou promítnuty ve finančním plánu. Práce poukazuje na užitečnost ukazatelů likvidity a rentability, které upozorňují na možné problémy a pomáhají při plánování. V rámci analýzy výkonnosti je pozornost věnována národním specifikům mající vliv na analýzu výkonnosti. Cílem práce je určit, zda a do jaké míry je možné komparovat výsledky ukazatelů u podniků působících na různých trzích.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on evaluating the business performance by means of controlling tools. Business efficiency is defined as a result of business activities from two sides from a finance and a business perspective. On the example of two companies with a similar field of activity, business performance is evaluated with the help of financial and non-financial KPIs that provide a complex overview of business performance. These indicators are usually part of management reports that reflect the company's effectiveness in relation to the company's objectives stated in a financial plan. The diploma thesis points out the usefulness of liquidity and profitability indicators which indicate possible problems and which help with planning. In this analysis of business efficiency, attention is paid to the national specificities and differences in accounting. The aim of this thesis is to determine whether and to what extent it is possible to compare the results of indicators of companies operating in different markets.
