Czech Retrofuturism Within Anglo-American context
Abstract:
Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou retrofuturismu, jeho subžánru steampunku a jejich dopadem na českou literární a filmovou tvorbu. Práce zkoumá historii vzniku žánru i jeho teoretický výklad. Cílem práce je přinést přehledovou studii o českém steampunku a současně vynést na povrch specifické rysy, charakteristické zejména pro zdejší literární a filmovou tvorbu.
Abstract:
This diploma thesis deals with the issues of retrofurism, steampunk as its subgenre and their effects on the Czech literary and film production. The thesis studies the history of the genre and its theoretical interpretation.
