International wine trade with focus on Chilean wine

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je analyzovat světový trh s vínem, pozici chilského vína na tomto trhu a zjistit, zdali chilský export vína dlouhodobě roste. Pro úvod do problematiky vinařského světa se práce zabývá charakteristikou vína, odrůd révy vinné, typologií vína a seznamuje čtenáře s nejdůležitějšími vinařskými oblastmi světa. Větší pozornost je věnována pěstitelským oblastem na území Chile. Náplní druhé kapitoly je specifikace současné situace na světovém trhu vína za pomoci analýzy globální produkce, spotřeby a mezinárodního obchodu s vínem. Dále se zaměřuje na práci a záměry mezinárodních institucí zabývajících se světovým trhem vína. Třetí kapitola detailně rozebírá chilskou produkci vína v posledních letech. Věnuje se chilskému zahraničnímu obchodu s vínem, především se zaměřuje na jeho vývoz a postavení na globálním trhu s vínem. Na závěr práce pojednává o současných tendencích vinařského průmyslu v Chile.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze global wine market, position of Chilean wine on this market and to find out, if Chilean export of wine has been increasing over a long-term period. The introduction to the issue of wine world characterizes the term wine and the mostly known varieties of vine. It deals with the typology of wine as well as the main world wine regions. Significant attention is payed to the demarcation of the Chilean wine growing areas. The content of the second chapter is specification of the current situation of the world wine market through the mediation of an analysis of the global production, consumption and international wine trade. It also concerns the work and aims of the international institutions which deals with the world wine market. The third chapter examines the Chilean production of wine in recent years. It also focuses on the Chilean external trade with wine, primarily on the development of the exports and on the position of Chilean wine on the world wine market. Finally, it deals with the current tendencies of wine industry in Chile.
