The Impact of Changes in the Excise Taxes on Consumer

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of excise taxes, which are an important part of the tax system of the Slovak Republic. The work deals with changes in recent years in excise duties and how these changes impact the consumer, who is most affected. The system consists of excise duty on alcoholic beverages, tobacco and tobacco products, mineral oil, coal, natural gas and electricity. The first chapter describes the tax as such, as it is shared and what it consists of. The next section of the first chapter we analyze the excise duty and specifically describe all kinds of excise duty. The main objective of this work is to describe the changes in the law on excise taxes in recent years and see how it influenced the consumer. The second chapter deals with the modification and amendment of the Excise Tax. In the third chapter we studied through the questionnaire impact of growth respectively fall of excise taxes on costumer and we narrowly processed results of the questionnaire.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá témou spotrebných daní, ktoré tvoria dôležitú súčasť daňového systému Slovenskej republiky. Práca sa zaoberá najmä zmenami v posledných rokoch v spotrebných daniach a ako tieto zmeny dopadajú na spotrebiteľa, ktorý je najviac ovplyvňovaný. Sústavu spotrebných daní tvorí daň za alkoholické nápoje, tabak a tabakové výrobky, minerálne oleje, uhlie, zemný plyn a elektrinu. Prvá kapitola opisuje daň ako takú, ako sa delí a z čoho pozostáva. V ďalšej časti prvej kapitoly analyzujeme spotrebnú daň a popisujeme konkrétne všetky druhy spotrebnej dane. Hlavným cieľom práce je popísať zmeny v zákonoch o spotrebných daniach v posledných rokoch a zistiť ako to vplývalo na spotrebiteľa. V kapitole druhej sa zaoberáme zmenami a novelami zákonov o spotrebných daniach. V tretej kapitole sme pomocou dotazníka skúmali dopad zvýšenia resp. zníženia spotrebnej dane na spotrebiteľa a podrobne spracovali výsledky prieskumu.
