Crime committed on the elderly

Abstract:

Práce velice rozsáhle pojednává o tématu Kriminality páchané na seniorech. Tato problematika je velice aktuální, a to bez ohledu na to, v jaké fázi či situaci se společnost nachází. Práce se rozděluje na část teoretickou a praktickou, obě tyto části jsou následně členěny do mnoha dalších podkapitol. Na začátku teoretické části jsou představeny základní pojmy, se kterými se v práci pracuje. Těmito pojmy jsou senioři, jak je vnímá společnost, případně jak se vnímají oni sami. Následuje teoretický vzhled do pojmosloví kriminalistiky, kde práce blíže přibližuje způsoby páchání trestných činů, motivy, stopy trestných činů, ale také osobnostní rysy pachatele. Na to navazuje definování pojmů vulnerabilita a násilná kriminalita. Teoretický výklad je zakončen přiblížením problematiky kriminality a podvodů páchaných na seniorech. Praktická část se následně věnuje konkrétnímu realizovanému výzkumu, který je zaměřen na kritické situace, které seniory ohrožují, a které pak ovlivňují jejich rozhodovací procesy v běžném životě.

Abstract:

The Thesis focuses on the topic of Crimes against the elderly. It’s a very relevant topic regardless of the phase or situation society is in. The work is divided into a theoretical and practical part and both of these parts are then broken down into a lot of other subchapters. At the beginning of the theoretical part, basic concepts that are worked with in the thesis are described. These concepts are about seniors, how they are viewed in society, and eventually how they view themselves. A theoretical insight into the forensic terminology follows, where the thesis takes a closer approach towards the means of committing crimes, their motives, traces of crimes, but also personality traits of offenders. Defining the concepts of vulnerability and violent crime follows up. The theoretical interpretation is then finished by taking a closer look at criminality and fraud committed on seniors. The practical part is then dealing with the specific investigation that is focused on critical situations threatening the elderly and their influence on the seniors’ future decision making processes.
