Folklore, holidays and traditions in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic

Abstract: V práce se zaměřujeme na folkór, svátky a tradice v Nizozemí a České republice. Naším cílem je zjistit, zda-li český národ zná nizozemské svátky a základní infrmace o Nizozemí. Z výsledků anktety, která byla rozdána stovce respondentů, následně zjišťujeme znalost nizozemských svátků a dále se v práci věnujeme jejich původu, způsobu slavení a poté porovnáváme s českými svátky

Abstract: This thesis is focused on the folklore, holidays and traditions in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. The aim is to find out whether Czech people know the Dutch holidays and basic in formation about the Netheralnds.From the results of an inquiry, which was distributed to one hunderd respondents, the knowledge of Dutch holidays is subseqvently found out. This thesis is also devoted to the origin of the Dutch holidays, the way of their celebration which is finally compared to the Czech holidays
