Inbound tourism of Ireland in the relation to the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá zhodnocením podmínek pro realizaci příjezdového cestovního ruchu Irska ve vztahu k České republice a zhodnocením nabídky možností cestování do Irska z České republiky ve vztahu k poptávce. Nejprve jsou vymezeny základní teoretické pojmy jako destinace cestovního ruchu, příjezdový cestovní ruch a determinovány faktory ovlivňující příjezdový cestovní ruch působící na straně nabídky a na straně poptávky. Dále je charakterizována destinace Irsko a její předpoklady pro rozvoj cestovního ruchu. Následuje charakteristika příjezdového cestovního ruchu Irska, v rámci které je za pomocí regresní analýzy proveden odhad počtu českých návštěvníků a turistů Irska. Poté je provedena komparace nabídky cestování do Irska z České republiky v rámci organizovaného cestovního ruchu, která je realizována na základě srovnání nabídky zájezdů cestovních kanceláří na českém trhu, a porovnání možností individuálního cestování. V návaznosti na to je provedeno dotazníkové šetření zaměřeno na zjištění a posouzení velikosti a struktury poptávky českých turistů, přičemž výsledky z tohoto šetření jsou následně porovnány s dostupnou nabídkou zájezdů a možnostmi individuálního cestování, na základě čehož jsou tyto možnosti zhodnoceny. V neposlední řadě je v závěru práce provedena SWOT analýza, na základě které je zhodnocena destinace Irsko ve vztahu ke zdrojové destinaci Česká republika.

Abstract:

The Diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of the conditions for realization of inbound tourism of Ireland in relation to the Czech Republic and the evaluation of the possibilities of travelling from the Czech Republic to Ireland in relation to the demand. At the beginning the basic theoretical terms as tourism destination, inbound tourism are defined and the factors influencing inbound tourism on the supply side and on the demand side are determined. Further, destination of Ireland and Ireland's conditions for realization of inbound tourism are characterised. A characteristic of inbound tourism of Ireland follows. The characteristic includes an estimation of the number of Czech visitors and tourists of Ireland based on a regression analysis. Further, a comparison of an offer of holiday packages on the Czech market follows and the possibilities of individual travelling are compared as well. Following-up to the characteristic of the supply the questionnaire survey focused on the size and structure of the demand of the Czech tourists and visitors is realized. The results of the survey are compared with the supply and thus the possibilities of travelling to Ireland with and without tour operators are evaluated. Finally, the SWOT analysis is realized, based on which destination of Ireland in the relation to the Czech Republic as the source country is evaluated.
