Teoretická část bakalářské práce popisuje sociální práci, roli sociálního pracovníka, sociální služby obecně a konkrétní sociální službu denní stacionář. Práce je zaměřena na problematiku stárnutí a stáří, sociální práci se seniory s Alzheimerovou chorobou a jinými typy demence v kontextu co nejdelšího pobytu seniora v domácím a jemu známém přirozeném prostředí.
