Důležitost pochopení složitosti projektu pro efektivní řízení a definování jeho cyklu

Abstract:

Project management funguje jako záchranná lana pro jakýkoli projekt a je důležité pro označení jeho úspěchu nebo neúspěchu. Projekty se vyznačují vysokou mírou neúspěchu z důvodu nedostatečnosti projektového manažera a projektového týmu porozumět vnitřní povaze a složitosti spojené s projekty fungujícími ve vysoce dynamickém obchodním prostředí. Ve světle toho si tato práce klade za cíl prozkoumat důležitost porozumění složitosti projektu směrem k efektivnímu řízení. K dosažení tohoto cíle byla ve studii použita směs sekundárního a primárního výzkumu. Sekundární výzkum zahrnuje použití literárních rešerší k získání porozumění významu řízení projektů, faktorů úspěchu a neúspěchu, potřebě porozumět složité povaze a složitosti projektů a významu faktorů podnikového prostředí a aktiv organizačního procesu pro zajištění úspěchu projektu . Primární analýza zajistila odpovědi 87 projektových manažerů od společností jako Microsoft, IBM, Google atd., Aby prozkoumala důležitost problémů studovaných v literatuře. Hlavním zjištěním studie je, že pochopení a stanovení jasného cíle projektu funguje jako hlavní faktor úspěchu a jeho absence vede k selhání projektu. Mezi klíčová doporučení v této práci patří, že organizace musí rozumět narůstající složitosti projektů a vyvíjet robustní organizační systémy a procesy, které komunikují směrem k základní povaze projektu.

Abstract:

Project management acts as the lifeline for any project, and is important for marking its success or failure. Projects are characterised by high rates of failure owing to the inadequacy of the project manager and project team to understand the intrinsic nature and complexity associated with projects operating in highly dynamic business environment. In the light of this, the current thesis aims to investigate the importance of understanding of the intricate nature of a project towards effective management approach. To meet this aim, the study employed the blend of secondary and primary research. The secondary research entails the use of literature reviews in gaining an understanding of the importance of project management, success and failure factors, need to understand the intricate nature and complexity of projects and the relevance of enterprise environmental factors and organisational process assets in securing project success. The primary analysis secured the responses of 87 project managers from companies like Microsoft, IBM, Google etc. to investigate the importance of the issues studied in the literature. The major finding of the study is that understanding and defining clear objective of the project acts as the main success factor, and its absence causes the project to fail. The key recommendations in the thesis include that the organisations must understand the rising complexities in projects and develop robust organisation systems and processes that communicate towards the core nature of the project.
