Lifestyle of patients with cardiovascular disease

Abstract:

Úvod: Kardiovaskulární nemoci představují nejčastější příčinu úmrtí v celosvětovém měřítku. Jedná se o veškerá onemocnění srdce a cév. Pravděpodobnost vzniku těchto civilizačních onemocnění závisí zejména na individuálním životním stylu, který je jedním z nejlépe preventabilních rizikových faktorů. Materiál a metody: Do pilotní studie byla použita data od pacientů ze sítě kardiologických ambulancí Benedor. Výběrovým kritériem bylo užívání Warfarinu, Pradaxy, Eliquisu , Xarelta. Data byla zpracována v programu EpiData, a použita popisná statistika. Výsledky: V pilotní studii byla analyzována data od 11 pacientů trpící fibrilací síní. V souboru převažovali muži (72,7 %). Průměrný věk pacientů byl 72. Warfarin užívalo 9 pacientů, a Pradaxu 2 pacienti. Svůj zdravotní stav považuje za uspokojivý 45,5 % pacientů. Léky předepsané lékařem užívá 72,7 % pacientů. Zvýšenou hodnotou systolického tlaku trpí 27,3 % pacientů a zvýšenou hodnotou diastolického tlaku trpí 9 % pacientů. Průměrná tepová frekvence v souboru byla 78, 8 tepů za minutu. Hypertenze jakožto nejčastější komorbidita v souboru byla zjištěna u 63,3 % pacientů. Byly sledovány i další přidružená onemocnění či stavy, po hypertenzi dvě nejpočetnější skupiny byly diabetes mellitus 2. typu a úraz. Rizikové HASBLED score bylo zaznamenáno u 18,2 % pacientů a rizikové CHA2DS2 score u 45,5 %. Žádný pacient si neudržoval normální tělesnou váhu, 72,7 % pacientů trpělo nadváhou a 27,3 % pacientů trpělo středně těžkou obezitou. Z hlediska WHR je v riziku 87,5 % mužů a 33,3 % žen. V souboru byla nejčastěji konzumována pitná voda a káva. Chůze, nebo středně těžká fyzická aktivita představuje druh fyzické aktivity vykonávané u 63, 6 % pacientů. Mezi pacienty nebyl žádný kuřák. V souboru bylo 6 exkuřáků. Zdravotní komplikace byly důvodem skončit s kouřením pro celých u 83,3 % exkuřáků. Závěr: Byly popsány parametry životního stylu skupiny pacientů trpící fibrilací síní užívající Warfarin a Pradaxy. Na základě těchto dat lze doporučit zlepšení či rozšíření edukace pacientů a zavést preventivní opatření pro zlepšení životního stylu a sním souvisejícího zdravotního stavu pacientů.

Abstract:

Introduction: Cardiovascular diseases are the most common cause of death worldwide. These are all diseases of the heart and blood vessels. The probability of developing these lifestyle diseases depends mainly on the individual lifestyle, which is one of the most preventable risk factors. Materials and methods: The study used data from patients from the network of Benedor cardiology outpatient department. The selection criterion was the use of Warfarin, Pradaxa , Eliquis, Xarelta. Data was processed in EpiData, and descriptive statistics were used. Results: In a pilot study, data from eleven patients with atrial fibrillation were analysed. In the sample, men (72.7 %) predominated. The average age of patients was 72. Nine patients received Warfarin, and two patients received Pradaxa 45.5 % of patients consider their health satisfactory. Medicines prescribed by the doctor are used by 72.7 % of patients. 27.3 % of patients suffer from increased systolic pressure and 9 % of patients suffer from increased diastolic pressure. The average heart rate in the sample was 78,8 beats per minute. Hypertension as the most common comorbidity in the sample was found in 63.3 % of patients. Other associated diseases or conditions were also observed , after hypertension, the two most numerous groups were type 2 diabetes mellitus and injury. High-risk HASBLED score was detected in 18.2 % of patients and high-risk CHA2DS2 score in 45.5 %. No patient maintained normal body weight, 72.7 % were overweight and 27.3 % had moderate obesity. In terms of WHR, 87.5 % of men and 33.3 % of women are at risk. Drinking water and coffee are most often consumed in the sample. Walking or moderate physical activity represents a kind of physical activity performed in 63.6 % of patients. There was no smoker among the patients. There were six ex-smokers. Health complications were the reason to quit smoking for 83.3% of ex-smokers. Conclusion: Lifestyle parameters of a group of patients suffering from atrial fibrillation taking Warfarin and Pradaxa have been described. Based on this data, it is advisable to improve or extend patient education and to introduce preventive measures to improve the lifestyle and related health of patients.
