Creative accounting and accounting frauds with focus on the audit

Abstract:

V textu práce je pojednáno o hlavních aspektech kreativního účetnictví – o subjektech, které kreativní účetnictví ovlivňuje, techniky kreativního účetnictví či motivační faktory pro použití takových technik a důsledky použití těchto technik. Dále je definován samotný pojem kreativní účetnictví. Cílem této práce je uceleně definovat kreativní účetnictví a zároveň poukázat na problematiku auditu účetní závěrky v souvislosti s použitím technik kreativního účetnictví v konkrétních příkladech. V práci je nastíněn postup auditu účetní závěrky se zaměřením na detailní a analytické testy věcné správnosti a reakce auditora na vyhodnocené nesprávnosti ve vazbě na použití metod kreativního účetnictví.

Abstract:

In the final work the main aspects of creative accounting are discussed - the subjects that are influenced by creative accounting application, the techniques of creative accounting or the motivational factors for the use of such techniques and the consequences of using these techniques. Also it is defined the very concept of creative accounting.The aim of this work is to define the creative accounting in a coherent manner and at the same time point out the audit of the financial statements in connection with the use of creative accounting techniques in concrete examples. The work outlines the audit of the financial statements focusing on detailed and analytical substantive testing procedures and the auditor's response to the assessed misstatements in relation to the use of creative accounting methods.
