Fundamental Analysis of the Google Corporation

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabýva fundamentální analýzou a jejím následným uplatněním na společnosti Google, s cílem zjistit vnitřní hodnotu jejích akcií a srovnat ji s tržní hodnotou akcií Google. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. První teoretická čast práce se zabývá popisem fundamentální analýzy z dostupných zdrojů, za cílem složení celkového přehledu daného tématu. Ve druhé praktické části řešim jak stanovit vnitřní hodnotu akcie Google a jaký je její vztah k aktuální tržní ceně. V první kapitole praktické části práce je charakteristika firmy Google a popis jak hospodaří, ve druhé kapitole je popis vhodnosti různých nejpoužívanějších přístupů a metod finanční analýzy k určení vnitřní hodnoty společnosti Google. Nadále ve třetí kapitole jsou vhodné metody a přístupy využity ke stanovení vnitřní hodnoty akcií Google z výročních výsledků a v poslední kapitole, kde je výsledná vnitřní hodnota porovnána s aktuální tržní cenou, zda-li existuje investiční příležitost vzhledem k velikosti zjištěného rozporu vnitřní hodnoty a tržní ceny zkoumané akcie. V závěru z výsledků své práce stanovím investiční doporučení, zda-li koupit, držet, či prodávat pomocí zjištěných vnitřních hodnot jednotlivých metod a odchylce průměru všech výsledků od tržní ceny. Zjistil jsem že akcie je na trhu relativně správně oceněna.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with fundamental analysis and its subsequent application on the stock of Google Inc., in order to determine the intrinsic value of its shares and to compare it with the market value Googles shares. Thts work is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The first theoretical part of the thesis describes fundamental analysis from available sources in order to create an overview of the topic. In the practical part, I attempt to determine the intrinsic value of Googles shares and what is its relationship to the current market price. In the first chapter of the practical part there is characteristic of the company and a description of how Google operates, in the second chapter there is a description of the suitability of different approaches and of the most widely used methods of financial analysis to determine the intrinsic value of Googles shares. Next in the third chapter the suitable methods and approaches are used to determine the intrinsic value of Googles shares from its annual results and at the end, the last chapter, where the calculated intrinsic values are compared with the current market price, to see whether there is an investment opportunity given the differece of the calculated intrinsic value of Googles stock and the market price of its stock. At the end of my work I present an investment recommendation, from my results, whether to buy, hold, or sell, based on the different intristic values of each method and of their total combined average difference from the market price. I found that the market shares are relatively fairly priced.
