Research into the etiology of youth crime in the Ústí Region

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou kriminality mládeže. Cílem této práce je primárně zjistit příčiny páchání kriminality mládeže v Ústeckém kraji, a dále zjistit, jaké faktory mají na páchání kriminality největší vliv. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, kdy v první, teoretické, jsou charakterizovány základní pojmy a definice vztahující se ke kriminalitě mládeže, dále jsou nastíněny potenciální vnější a vnitřní faktory mající vliv na kriminalitu mládeže. Jedná se zejména o rozbor multifaktoriálních příčin kriminálního chování mládeže, jako je např. porucha osobnosti, rozdílnost výchovy v rodině, působení vrstevníků, volnočasové aktivity, masmédia, drogová závislost aj. Následně rozebíráme možnosti prevence kriminality v České republice, zde zahrnujeme i příklady intervence. Uvádíme možné druhy sankcí, které vyplývají z charakteru dané problematiky. Následně popisujeme statistická data Policie České republiky z let 2015-2022. Zde pozorujeme intenzitu a průběh páchání kriminality mládeže. Empirickou část tvoří výsledky vlastního dotazníkového šetření. Pro sběr dat je použit nestandardizovaný dotazník, který je distribuován respondentům, kteří se kriminalitou mládeže profesně zabývají. Jedná se o příslušníky Policie ČR, věznic, soudce, státní zástupce, výchovné poradce, zaměstnance výchovných ústavů a pracovníky OSPOD. Na základě realizovaného dotazníkového šetření zjišťujeme, zda mezi jednotlivými účastníky jsou názorově významné rozdíly, či nikoliv. Vyhodnotíme vzájemnou závislost, respektive nezávislost, jimi vnímaných faktorů na pohlaví, věk a typologii činů, které se mládež dopouští. Součástí práce jsou doporučení pro praxi. Dosažené výsledky a stanovená doporučení jsou využitelná v rámci sociální pedagogiky, penitenciární péče, prevence kriminality a dalších disciplín, zejména tzv. pomáhajících profesích.

Abstract:

The master's thesis deals with the issue of juvenile delinquency. The aim of this thesis is primarily to find out the causes of delinquent behaviour of minors in the Ústí nad Labem region and to find out what factors have the greatest influence on the crimes committed. The thesis is divided into two parts; the first part, theoretical, characterizes the basic concepts and definitions related to juvenile delinquency, and outlines the potential external and internal factors influencing the delinquency of minors. In particular, the multifactorial causes of delinquent behaviour of minors, such as personality disorder, differences in family upbringing, peer influence, leisure activities, mass media, drug addiction, etc. are analysed. Subsequently, attention is paid to the prevention of crime in the Czech Republic, including the possibilities of intervention and highlighting the possible consequences - types of penalties resulting from the nature of the problem. Then, statistical data from the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic and the Police of the Czech Republic from 2015 to 2022 are described, based on which the trend of intensity and course of juvenile delinquency is observed. The empirical part consists of the results of the questionnaire survey. For data collection, a questionnaire is used, which was distributed to respondents who are professionally involved in juvenile delinquency, mainly members of the Police of the Czech Republic, judges, prosecutors, educational counsellors, employees of educational institutions and prisons, and workers of the Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children. The questionnaire is used to determine whether there are any significant differences of opinion between the individual participants and to assess the interdependence or independence of the perceived factors on gender, age and the typology of the acts committed by the minors. The thesis also includes recommendations for practice and prediction of potential future developments within the issue. Results achieved and the recommendations made are applicable within social pedagogy, penitentiary care, crime prevention and other disciplines, especially the so-called assisting professions.
