Specifics of the effect of supervision on the culture of the organization in the field of palliative and hospice care

Abstract:

Ústředním tématem diplomové práce je supervizní působení v oblasti paliativní a hospicové péče. Cílem práce je analýza aktuálního stavu problematiky supervize v oblasti hospicové a paliativní péče a také je cílem zhodnotit působení supervize na organizační kulturu v zařízeních poskytujících tyto druhy péče. Za pomoci kvalitativního zkoumání dvou hospicových a jednoho obecně paliativního zařízení přináší práce prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů jedinečné poznatky zkušených profesionálů na poli paliativním a hospicovém. Tato práce zahrnuje také doprovodná teoretická témata podložená výzkumnými zjištěními, jako je podstata této sféry, aktuální pohled na umírání, supervizi na zdravotně sociálním pomezí či jednotlivé supervizní prvky z pohledu respondentů. Hlavní přínos práce spočívá v posouzení vlivu supervize u paliativní a hospicové oblasti na úrovni jednotlivce, na danou organizační kulturu i na organizace jako celek.

Abstract:

The central topic of the thesis is supervision in the field of palliative and hospice care. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the current state of the issue of supervision in the field of hospice and palliative care, and also to evaluate the effect of supervision on organizational culture in facilities providing these types of care. With the help of a qualitative examination of two hospice and one general palliative facility, the work brings unique insights from experienced professionals in the field of palliative and hospice through semi-structured interviews. This work also includes accompanying theoretical topics supported by research findings, such as the essence of this sphere, the current view of dying, supervision at the health-social border, or individual supervision elements from the perspective of the respondents. The main contribution of the work lies in the assessment of the influence of supervision in the palliative and hospice field at the level of the individual, on the given organizational culture and on the organization as a whole.
