This bachelor thesis deals with the usage of the colon in journalistic texts. It focuses on its role of separating two utterances that have a logical-argumentative relation between each other, and on its function of structuring information within the utterance, such as creating a Topic-Comment structure or the isolation of one part of the sentence to the left or to the right. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá užitím dvojtečky v žurnalistickém textu. Zaměřuje se na její roli při oddělení dvou výroků, které mají mezi sebou logicko-argumentativní vztah, a na její funkci strukturování informace uvnitř výroku, ať už se jedná o členění typu Topic-Comment nebo izolování části věty nalevo nebo napravo od znaménka.
