Sovereign wealth funds in the global economy and project of their possible implementation in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

V obecné rovině je cílem této mé diplomové práce poznat jeden z významných finančních subjektů na poli globální ekonomiky - Státní suverénní fondy (Sovereign Wealth Funds - SWF). Popsat jejich vznik, fungování a jejich investiční strategie, měnící se od nákupčích státních dluhopisů po dravce jdoucí po cenných aktivech jednotlivých států. Analyzovat jejich záměry a cíle v souvislosti s investicemi do těchto strategických podniků národních ekonomik. V rámci řešeného projektu se práce bude zabývat možností zřízení a implementací obdobného subjektu do finanční soustavy České republiky jak z pohledu legislativního, tak z pohledu jeho vlivu na národní hospodářství. A hlavně obhájit hypotézu, že SWF (nebo jemu podobný institut) napomáhá v "rozmnožování" státního bohatství, ozdravění veřejných financí a zajištění udržitelného růstu bohatství.

Abstract:

Generally, the goal of my thesis is getting to know with one of the major financial actors in the global economy ? the Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWF). To describe their creation, operation, investment strategies and transformation from the buyers of government bonds after the predators are going after valuable national assets. Analyze their intentions and objectives in connection with these strategic investments in companies of national economies. The solved project of the work will examine the possibility of setting up and implementing the analogous subject into the financial system in the Czech Republic both in terms of legislative and terms of its impact on the national economy. Above all, try to defend the hypothesis that the SWF (or similar institute) assists in the "reproduction" of state assets, restructuring of the public finances and at the same time bringing sustainable growth of wealth.
