Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je návrh inovovaného business modelu americké společnosti Elkins on Priest Lake, jejíž jedinou činností je provoz ubytovacího resortu Elkins Resort. Proces inovace vychází z frameworku Business Model Navigator, do kterého jsou zapojeny metody Design Thinkingu. K naplnění hlavního cíle slouží série dílčích cílů, které jsou prezentované jednotlivými metodami a analýzami. V rámci první iniciační fáze je dílčím cílem poznání celého ekosystému společnosti, sestavení status quo business modelu na plátně Canvas, odhalení problémových oblastí a přiblížení potřeb zákazníků pomocí empatické mapy. Empatická mapa vstupuje ve druhé tvůrčí fázi do Value Proposition Canvasu, který má spolu s brainstormingem za cíl vygenerovat nápady na zlepšení problémových oblastí. Třetí integrační fáze si klade za cíl vybrané nápady detailněji propracovat a propojit je v inovovaném business modelu.

Abstract:

The goal of master’s thesis is the proposal of an innovated business model of American company Elkins on Lake Priest. The only activity of the company is the operation of the Elkins Resort. The innovation process is based on Business Model Navigator framework and Design Thinking methods are included. Several partial goals are presented to achieve the main objective and consist of individual methods and analyzes. In the first initiation phase the partial goal is to understand the entire ecosystem of the company, build a status quo business model on Canvas, detect problem areas and bring customers’ needs closer by the empathy map. The empathy map enters the Value Proposition Canvas in second ideation phase. Along with brainstorming the partial goal is to generate ideas for improving problem areas. The third integration phase aims to fine-tune selected ideas and link them in an innovative business model.
