Cautious Business Banking in Context of Liquidity

Abstract:

The goal of the thesis titled „Cautious business banking in context of liquidity” is to highlight the importance of the rules of cautious business of banks, focusing mainly on the bank's liquidity. In the first chapter is defined a commercial bank and are shown the items of the balance of commercial bank using the tables. The first chapter describes the further regulation of the banking sector in the Slovak Republic and the European Union. The last part discusses the rules of cautious business of banks. The second chapter focuses on the liquidity of commercial bank, as well as rules that a commercial bank is obliged to observe in the context of liquidity. It records the development of rules of liquidity in the period. It provides information not only about the development of the Slovak Republic, but also in the European Union through three Basel Accords. It captures changes that carried out in liquidity and its monitoring. In the last chapter number three the thesis meets the partial goal which is to point to the importance of managing the liquidity of commercial bank. It analyzes the fulfilment of the minimum requirements of several indicators of liquidity of commercial bank. It shown thatanalyzed commercial bank manages liquidity risk and also compares its results with those of other banks, which have been observed throughout the world. In this thesis are shown tables, graphs and images for better understanding of complex issue which is the cautious business of banks in the context of liquidity.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce s názvom „Obozretné podnikanie bánk v kontexte likvidity“ je poukázať na význam pravidiel obozretného podnikania bánk so zameraním najmä na likviditu banky. V prvej kapitole je definovaná komerčná banka a pomocou tabuliek sú uvedené jednotlivé položky bilancie komerčnej banky. Prvá kapitola ďalej popisuje reguláciu bankového sektora v Slovenskej republike a v rámci Európskej únie. V jej poslednej časti rozoberá pravidlá obozretného podnikania bánk. Druhá kapitola je zameraná na likviditu komerčnej banky a rovnako aj pravidlá, ktoré je komerčná banka povinná dodržiavať v kontexte likvidity. Zaznamenáva vývoj pravidiel likvidity v sledovanom období. Poskytuje informácie nielen o vývoji v Slovenskej republike, ale aj v Európskej únii prostredníctvom troch bazilejských dohôd. Zachytáva zmeny, ktoré sa v oblasti likvidity uskutočnili. V poslednej kapitole číslo tri plní práca čiastkový cieľ, ktorým je poukázanie na dôležitosť riadenia likvidity komerčnej banky. Analyzuje plnenie minimálnych požiadaviek viacerých ukazovateľov likvidity komerčnou bankou. Uvádza ako analyzovaná komerčná banka riadi riziko likvidity a tiež porovnáva jej výsledky s výsledkami iných bánk, ktoré boli sledované v rámci celého sveta. V práci sú uvedené tabuľky, grafy a obrázky pre lepšie pochopenie zložitej problematiky akou je obozretné podnikanie bánk v kontexte likvidity.
