Financing and development of printing companies of the koncern EDS in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je analyzovat financování a současné technologické a výrobní poznatky polygrafických společností v rámci nadnárodní skupiny EDS na území České republiky a predikovat možný rozvoj. V práci bude zmínka o vzniku těchto tří tiskáren jako jednotlivých podnikatelských subjektů, o vstupu do koncernu, a současné situaci, kdy zde poskytují celou škálu tiskařských, knihařských a doprovodných služeb. Financování svých aktivit jako jednotlivců a financování ze strany skupiny EDS. Zhodnocení jejich finanční a hospodářské situace prostřednictvím některých ukazatelů finanční analýzy. Ve druhé části této bakalářské práce se zaměřím především na technologické vybavení a kapacitní normy výroby. Vzájemnou konkurenci a naopak spolupráci mezi těmito subjekty v závislosti na výrobních faktorech a existujících a potencionálních zákaznících. V poslední části mé práce predikuji možný technologický rozvoj za uskutečnění potřebných investic vedoucí jednak k inovaci zastaralých výrobních linek, tak i k zvýšení kapacitních norem, růstu produkce a tím i zisku. Na úplný závěr budou pro každou tiskárnu navrhnuty dvě varianty investic. Po zhodnocení jejich efektivity, návratnosti a budoucího přínosu jednu doporučím.

Abstract:

The topic for this Bachelor thesis is to analyze the funding and current technology and manufacturing practices of printing companies within a multi-national group, EDS in the Czech Republic, and to predict potential development. Within this thesis there will be mention of the formation of these three printing companies as individual businesses, how they joined the EDS group, the current situation where they offer a full range of printing, bookbinding and accompanying services. Funding of these services as individual companies and as part of the EDS Group and Evaluation of their financial and economic situation using some financial analysis indicators and prediction of future development based upon standard mathematical and statistical models. In the second part of the thesis I shall focus mainly on available technology and production capacity standards. As well as the mutual competition and cooperation between these areas depending on the technological set up of each company. In the final section I shall propose potential technological development based on necessary investments, leading not only to innovation of old production lines, but also to increase standard production capacity which would lead to higher earnings. To conclude I shall propose for each printing company, two investment plans. Then after assessing how effective these options are, based upon the returns and future profits, I will make my recommendation of which investment strategy is best.
