Comparing gross and fine motor skills of pre-school children from regular and forest kindergartens

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá porovnáním úrovně jemné a hrubé motoriky u dětí předškolního věku, tj. 56 let. Práce porovnává úroveň motoriky u dětí, které navštěvují běžnou mateřskou školu, a u dětí, které navštěvují lesní mateřskou školu. Cílem této práce je zjistit, zda jsou mezi dětmi, které navštěvují odlišné vzdělávací zařízení, motorické rozdíly. To jsme zjišťovali a testovali pomocí testové baterie MABC-2. Tato testová baterie slouží k posuzování úrovně jemné, hrubé motoriky a rovnováhy. Výsledky, které nám test poskytne, se zařazují do třech skupin podle toho, jaké úrovně motoriky testované děti dosáhnou. V teoretických východiscích práce je charakterizován předškolní věk, jemná a hrubá motorika, rozdíl mezi motorickými schopnostmi a dovednostmi. Dále jsou zde popsány nejpoužívanější motorické testy a dále jsou v této práci popsány rozdíly mezi běžnou mateřskou školou a lesní mateřskou školou. V praktické části je popsáno samotné testování a vyhodnocení, které je zaznamenáno v tabulkách a grafech. Potvrzení či vyvrácení hypotézy je statisticky ověřeno.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of the level of fine and gross motor skills in preschool children, i.e., 5-6 years old. The thesis compares the level of motor skills of children who attend a regular kindergarten and children who attend a forest kindergarten.The aim of this paper is to find out whether there are motor differences between children who attend different educational institutions. This was investigated and tested using the MABC-2 test battery. This test battery is used to assess the level of fine, gross motor and balance skills. The results provided by the test are classified into three groups according to the level of motor skills of the children tested. The theoretical background of the work characterizes the preschool age, fine and gross motor skills, and the difference between motor abilities and skills. Furthermore, the most commonly used motor tests are described, and the differences between a regular kindergarten and a forest kindergarten are also described in this thesis. The practical part describes the actual testing and evaluation, which is recorded in tables and graphs. The confirmation or refutation of the hypothesis is statistically verified.
