Energy conception and strategy in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Energetika náleží mezi klíčová odvětví národního hospodářství a i v rámci Evropské unie je vnímána jako jedna z nejvýznamnějších politik. S hospodářským rozvojem, zaváděním nových technologií stoupá zároveň energetická náročnost. Poslední desetiletí přinesla dvě významné výzvy. Málokterá oblast hospodářství může pozitivně i negativně ovlivnit životní prostředí, než je těžba energetických surovin a výroba elektrické energie. Hrozby vyplývající z politické nestability v řadě zemí světa a terorismu vyvolaly potřebu zabývat se otázkou energetické bezpečnosti. Investice do energetiky jsou velmi náročné jak z hlediska finančního, tak i časového, neboť nelze ze dne na den zrušit uhelné elektrárny a přejít na jadernou energetiku apod. Proto je nezbytné vytváření střednědobých i dlouhodobých koncepcí a to na úrovni lokální, regionální, národní i evropské. Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na energetickou koncepci na úrovni národní – tj. Energetickou koncepci České republiky. Je pochopitelné, že je však nutné tento dynamický dokument vnímat ve vazbách jak na energetickou politiku Evropské unie, tak i na strategické plánování jednotlivých regionů. Vzhledem k šíři problémů, které energetická strategie řeší, byly zvoleny tři klíčové oblasti, které jsou v této diplomové práci více propracovány: energetická bezpečnost, jaderná energetika a otázka zachování či prolomení těžebních limitů v Ústeckém kraji.

Abstract:

Energy is among the key sectors of the national economy in the European Union is seen as one of the most important policies. With economic development, the introduction of new technologies, while increasing energy demands. The last two decades have brought significant challenges. Hardly any area of the economy could adversely or positively affect the environment than the extraction of energy resources and electricity generation. Threats from political instability in the ranks of the world and terrorism have raised the need to address the issue of energy security. Energy investments are very demanding in terms of funding, time, because you cannot from one day to cancel coal and switch to nuclear energy like. Therefore, it is necessary to create medium and long-term policies at the level of local, regional, national and European. This thesis is focused on energy policy on a national level – i.e. Energy concept of the Czech Republic. It is understandable that it is necessary to perceive this dynamic document in the bindings on the energy policy of the European Union, as well as strategic planning in individual regions. Given the breadth of issues that the energy strategy addresses were selected three key areas that are in this thesis more elaborated: energy security, nuclear energy and the issue of keeping or breaking the mining limits in the Usti region.
