Occurrence and prevention of chronic noninfectious diseases selected for children on the first grade of elementary schools.

Abstract:

Diplomantka se ve své práci zaměří na chronická neinfekční onemocnění u dětí na 1. stupni ZŠ, a to především na obezitu, alergické choroby, astma, celiakii, diabetes mellitus 1. typu a epilepsii. Teoretická část bude obsahovat charakteristiku vývojové etapy mladšího školního věku, vysvětlení pojmu chronická neinfekční choroba, etymologii výše uvedených onemocnění a zásady prevence těchto chorob vycházející z příčin jejich vzniku. Dále se diplomantka seznámí s metodikou statistického zpracování dat. Studentka se podrobně seznámí s aktuální směrnicí děkana "Pokyny pro psaní a odevzdávání bakalářských a diplomových prací" a bude dbát na její dodržování. Cílem praktické části práce bude zmapování četnosti výskytu chronických neinfekčních onemocnění mezi žáky na 1. stupni sledovaných základních škol, zjištění úrovně preventivních opatření ve školách a úrovně informovanosti učitelů o možnostech péče o takto nemocné žáky. Potřebná data budou získána kvantitativní metodou s pomocí rozeslaného dotazníku pro učitele. Výzkumný vzorek budou tvořit žáci tří základních škol Středočeského kraje. Výsledky budou zpracovány do tabulek a grafů. Budou formulovány závěry a doporučení pro pedagogickou praxi. Na základě zjištěných údajů o nejčastěji se vyskytujících chronických neinfekčních chorobách diplomantka vytvoří letáky pro učitele, jak pečovat o děti s vybranými chronickými neinfekčními chorobami ve školním prostředí.

Abstract:

The master's degree student will in her thesis focus on chronic non-infectious diseases of children in the first grade of elementary school, primarily obesity, allergies, asthma, celiac diseases, diabetes mellitus type 1 and epilepsy. Theoretical part of thesis will contain characteristics of phases in evolution of younger school age, explanation of the term chronic non-infectious disease, etymology of above mentioned diseases and rules of prevention based on the cause for its formation. The master's degree student also introduces methods of data processing. The student will be introduced to current dean's "Guidelines for writing and handing over of dissertations and thesis" and will comply with it. The aim of the practical part of work is to chart frequency of occurrence of chronic noninfectious diseases of children in the first grade of elementary school, to find the level of prevention in schools and the level of teacher's awareness about possibilities how to care for ill children. Required data will be obtained through quantitative method from questionnaires filled in by teachers and parents. Research will be done in three elementary schools in the Middle Czech area. Results will be processed in tables and charts. Results and recommendation will be made for the pedagogic practice. Based on survey data about most common chronic noninfectious diseases the master's degree student will prepare leaflets for teachers to learn how to care for children with some of the chronic non-infectious diseases in school environment.
