Creative Accounting

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je komplexně charakterizovat náležitosti spojené s kreativním účetnictvím v rámci legislativy České republiky, stanovit odpovědnost při použití manipulací s účetními výkazy, analyzovat dopad vybraných technik na účetní závěrku. Tyto dopady vyhodnotit a navrhnout postupy s cílem předejít používání technik kreativního účetnictví. První kapitola práce je zaměřena na teoretický rámec kreativního účetnictví a následně druhá kapitola popisuje jeho techniky. Třetí kapitola se zabývá bojem proti kreativnímu účetnictvím, tedy prevencí a detekcí a ve čtvrté kapitole je rozebrána odpovědnost za praktikování technik kreativního účetnictví. Následně je analyzován dopad vybraných technik na účetní závěrku, přičemž jsou navrženy postupy, jak těmto vybraným technikám předejít a je stanovena odpovědnost za jejich užití. V poslední části jsou vypočteny vybrané detekční modely, které jsou následně vyhodnoceny.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis “Creative Accounting” is to thoroughly characterise the terms connected to creative accounting in the frame-work of the legislation of the Czech Republic, establish accountability for manipulations with financial statements, analyse the impact of chosen techniques on balance of accounts. The impacts will be evaluated and new methods of preventing creative accounting will be proposed. The first chapter is focused on the theoretical framework of the creative accounting. Moreover, the second chapter describes its techniques. The third chapter is dealing with prevention and detection of creative accounting. In the fourth chapter the accountability for practicing creative accounting is described. Afterwards, the impact of chosen techniques on balance of books is analysed, while new procedures on how to combat the techniques are proposed and the accountability for their use is established. In the last part, the chosen detection models are calculated and evaluated.
