The Role of The low-threshold Day Care center in the Life of Homeless Youth

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je Role nízkoprahového denního centra v životě mladých osob bez domova a je koncipována jako teoreticko-aplikační. Cílem bakalářské práce je vymezit fenomén bezdomovectví, specifika mladých osob bez domova a možnosti řešení tohoto fenoménu v rámci sociálních služeb, se specifickým zaměřením na nízkohoprahové denní centrum. Teoretická část práce se věnuje základním definicím a charakteristikám bezdomovectví, typologii bezdomovectví, příčinám a důsledkům bezdomovectví. Popisuji mladé osoby z pohledu vývojové psychologie a specifika mladých osob bez domova. Práce také popisuje formy pomoci určené osobám bez domova poskytované v rámci sociálních služeb na území České republiky. Je popsána sociální práce s osobami bez domova a sociální práce v nízkoprahovém zařízení. Cílem aplikační části je zjistit, jakou roli sehrává denní centrum a sociální práce v něm, v rámci řešení životní situace mladých osob bez domova. Aplikační část je zpracována formou analýzy problému z praxe.

Abstract:

The theme of my bachelor thesis is The Role of The Low-Threshold Day Care Centre in The Life of Homeless Youth and it is conceived as theoretical-application. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to define the phenomenon of homelessness, specifics of homeless young people and the possibilities of solving this phenomenon within social services with a specific focus on a low-threshold day care center. The theoretical part provides the basic definitions and characteristics of homelessness, typology of homelessness, causes and consequences of homelessness. I describe young people from the point of view of developmental psychology and the specifics of homeless youth. The thesis also narrate forms of help intended for homeless people provided as the part of social services in the Czech Republic. Social work with homeless people and social work in the low-threshold is described. The aim of the application part is to determinate what role the day care center and social work play in addressing the living situation of homeless youth. The application part is processed in the form of the problem analysis from practical experience.
