Social media as a communication tool in enterprise and academic environments

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá využitím sociálních médií v podnikovém a akademickém prostředí. První část práce je zaměřena na pojem sociální média, jeho význam a další rozdělení. V práci je uvedeno dále, jaká sociální média se nejčastěji používají v České republice, popis sociálního marketingu a využití médií v podnikové komunikaci. Práce se zabývá pěti nejpoužívanějšími sociálními médii - Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn a také sociální sítí ResearchGate. Druhá část práce zahrnuje SWOT Analýzy ke zmíněným sociálním médiím. Práce je dále zaměřena na sociální média a jejich využití na vysokých školách. V poslední kapitole je popsán návrh řešení sociálních médií pro akademické prostředí.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the use of social media in the enterprise and academic environment. The first part of thesis focuses on the concept of social media, its importance and categorisation. It also analyses which of the social media are the most wide-spread in the Czech Republic and further elaborates on the theme of social marketing and the use of the media in the internal communication. The thesis deals with five most-used social media - Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube and LinkedIn; as well as the social network ResearchGate. The second part includes SWOT Analyses of hereby mentioned social media. The thesis further focuses on the social media and its use in the academic environment. The final chapter describes the design of social media solutions for the academic environment.
