The part-time jobs as a measure for balancing work and family life

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá částečnými úvazky jako možnými prostředky harmonizace práce a rodiny. Autorka si klade za cíl zjistit, jaké jsou postoje zaměstnavatelů k částečným úvazkům jako prostředku harmonizace práce a rodiny. V teoretické části vymezují základní teoretické pojmy, které s daným tématem úzce souvisí. Jedná se tedy o pojmy harmonizace práce a rodiny, částečné úvazky a zaměstnavatelé a jejich postoje. V metodické části popisuje metodu a strategii výzkumu, techniku sběru dat, jednotku zkoumání a zjišťování, průběh získávání dat a respondenty výzkumu. V empirické části na základě uskutečněných rozhovorů interpretuje základní zjištění, zabývá se tedy tím, jaký postoj zaujímají zaměstnavatelé k částečným úvazkům jako prostředku harmonizace práce a rodiny. Konkrétně se zaměřuje na to, jaký postoj zaujímají zaměstnavatelé k problému harmonizace rodinného a pracovního života svých zaměstnanců a jak ho řeší, a jak vnímají své možnosti a limity v působení na harmonizaci práce a rodiny svých zaměstnanců. Dále pak na to, jaký je jejich postoj k částečným úvazkům obecně a nakonec k částečným úvazkům jako prostředku harmonizace práce a rodiny. V závěru se shrnují zjištění a diskutuje se o tom, zda jsou částečné úvazky vhodným nástrojem harmonizace práce a rodiny.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with part-time jobs as possible measure for balancing work and family life. The author wants to find out how are these contracts perceived by the employers as measure for balancing work and family life. In the theoretical part I define the basic theoretical concepts, which are closely related to the topic of this work. Those are the concept of balancing work and family life, part-time jobs and employers and their positions. The methodological part explains the method and the strategy of the research, the technology used to collect the data, the unit of research and ascertaining, the process of data gathering and the research respondents. In the empirical part, based on the realized interviews, interprets the basic findings, it deals there upon with the position of the employers towards the part-time contracts as measure for balancing work and family life. Specifically it focuses on the stand of the employers towards the problem of the balancing family and work life of their employees and how it deals with it, and how they perceive their opportunities and limits in the influence on the balancing work and family of their employees. Furthermore, it deals with employer's stance towards part-time jobs generally and finally towards the part-time jobs as a measure for balancing work and family life. The conclusion is consistent of the summed findings and discusses whether the part-time jobs are suitable instrument for balancing work and family life.
