DC/TMD evaluation and associated physiotherapy treatment: a case report

Abstract:

Background: Temporomandibular disorders are a group of disorders affecting the temporomandibular joint and adjacent structures. Conservative rehabilitation treatment represents the first step for the management of these disorders. Objective: this thesis, therefore, aims to verify the effectiveness of three treatments: the inferior glide, among the conservative manual treatment techniques of DTM; the induction of the masseter, which is one of the most used myofascial techniques and finally the frontal lift, a manipulative technique on the skull.

Abstract:

Background: i disturbi temporo-mandibolari sono un gruppo di patologie che interessano l'articolazione temporo-mandibolare e le strutture adiacenti. Il trattamento riabilitativo conservativo rappresenta il primo step per la gestione di questi disturbi. Obiettivo: questa tesi, dunque si pone l'obiettivo di verificare l'efficacia di tre trattamenti: l'inferior glide, tra le tecniche di trattamento manuale conservativo dei DTM; l'induzione del massetere, la quale rientra tra le tecniche mio-fasciali pi? utilizzate ed infine il frontal lift una tecnica manipolativa sul cranio.
