Methods of determining the creditworthiness of loan applicants

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem a cílem práce je posouzení bonity klienta se zaměřením na drobné a střední podniky. V teoretické části bakalářské práce seznámit čtenáře s bankovním systémem, jeho regulací a dohledem. Proniknout do problematiky poskytování úvěrů a rizik s tím spojených. Ukážeme si, jak díky finanční a nefinanční analýze posoudíme bonitu klienta. V neposlední řadě si vysvětlíme rozdíl mezi metodami hodnocení bonity, ratingem a scoringem. Praktická část práce bude zaměřena na aplikaci výše zmíněných metod na konkrétní firmu, kde budeme rozhodovat o poskytnutí úvěru.

Abstract:

The main theme and aim of this work is to assess judge the creditworthiness of the client focusing on small and medium businesses. In the theoretical part of the thesis we will introduce the banking system to the reader, its regulation and supervision. We will enter the problematic of providing loans and of the risks involved. We will look at, how to assess through financial and non-financial analysis the creditworthiness of the client. Finally, we will explain the difference between methods of evaluating creditworthiness, the rating and the scoring. In the practical part we will focus on the application of the above mentioned methods on a specific company, where we will decide to grant the loan or not.
