Zelená revolúcia v Indii a jej hospodárske, sociálne a environmentálne dôsledky

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca je zameraná na Zelenú Revolúciu v Indii a jej dopady na životné prostredie, ekonomiku, a taktiež aj sociálne dopady. Bakalárska práca sa venuje histórií poľnohospodárstva v období pred a po Zelenej Revolúcii. V druhej časti práce sú spomenuté ekonomické dopady ako sebestačnosť produkcie obilia, nárast vidieckych príjmov, zníženie importu, sociálne dopady ako zmena v jedálničku obyvateľov, migrácia, a zlepšenie životných podmienok malých a stredných farmárov a dopady na životné prostredie ako neodborné zachádzanie s hnojivami a pesticídmi, nárast spotreby zavlažovania a vyhynutie domorodých obilnín. Posledná časť bakalárskej práce je venovaná aktuálnej situácii v poľnohospodárstve a súčasným výzvam pre Indiu.

Abstract:

The Bachelor thesis is focused on the Green Revolution in India and its social, economic, and environmental consequences. The thesis is devoted to the history of Indian agriculture before and after the Green Revolution. The thesis is also focused on Economic consequences such as self-sufficiency in grain production, growth of rural incomes, and reduction of imports, social consequences like change in diet, migration, better living conditions for small and medium farmers, and environmental consequences like inappropriate using of fertilizers and pesticides, increase in water consumption and extinction of indigenous crops. The last part of the bachelor thesis is mentioned the current state of Indian agriculture and the current agricultural challenges of India.
