Ethics of hotel chain with a focus on internal relations (employee - employer)

Abstract:

V této práci se zabývám problematikou vnitropodnikových vztahů mezi zaměstnanci a zaměstnavateli a dodržováním etických kodexů v hotelových řetězcích. Ke studii vybraného tématu a získání výsledků o dané situaci je použito dotazníkové šetření, které se uskutečnilo v hotelech Clarion Hotel Prague City, Clarion Congress Hotel České Budějovice, spadající pod značku Choice Hotels International a Hilton Prague Hotel pod záštitou Hilton Worldwide. Bakalářská práce komparuje teoretická fakta s praxí a názory hotelových zaměstnanců. Dále jsou v práci zveřejněny postřehy vedoucích pracovníků z hotelového řetězce Choice Hotels International, kteří mají zájem na budování etického prostředí na pracovišti. Na základě výsledků získaných z dotazníkového šetření jsou předloženy návrhy řešení, které by mohly dopomoci ke zlepšení vztahů na pracovišti a dodržování etických norem a standardů v hotelových řetězcích. Touto analýzou bych ráda přispěla k rozšíření etického jednání ve vnitrofiremních vztazích, zdůraznění důležitosti etických kodexů a podstaty etiky samotné.

Abstract:

In my work I deal with internal relations between employees and employers and compliance with codes of ethics in hotel chains. I am using a questionnaire survey, which was held at the Clarion Hotel Prague City, Clarion Congress Hotel České Budějovice belonging to hotel chain Choice Hotels International, and Hilton Prague Hotel belonging under the company Hilton Worldwide. The thesis compares theoretical facts with opinions and experience of hotel staff . Furthermore, the work publishes observations of executives of the hotel chain Choice Hotels International, who are interested in building an ethical environment in the workplace. On the basis of the results obtained from the questionnaire survey, I am presenting proposals, which could help to improve relations in the workplace and compliance with ethical norms and standards in hotel chains. I would like to contribute to expansion of ethical behaviour between employees and employers and highlight the importance of codes of ethics and the gist of ethics.
