Service desk, knowledge management and secrets management in a small organization

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na prostředí malého poskytovatele internetu a řeší několik problémových oblastí ve společnosti. Cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat současný stav service desku, managementu znalostí a nakládání s citlivými daty a navrhnout a implementovat řešení, která dané oblasti ve společnosti vylepší. V první části práce jsou definovány checklisty, pomocí kterých je provedena analýza současného stavu. Na tu navazuje část návrhu, která se soustředí na výběr několika řešení pomocí souboru kritérií. Součástí návrhu je také úprava a definování potřebných procesů. V implementační části práce jsou vybraná řešení nasazena do produkčního prostředí společnosti a nakonfigurována. Upravené procesy jsou nyní podpořeny novými řešeními. Poslední část práce se věnuje ověření pomocí interview a testovacích případů. Pomocí zpětného vyhodnocení checklistů došlo k znatelnému zlepšení řešených oblastí ve společnosti.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the environment of a small ISP and addresses several problem areas in the company. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the current state of the service desk, knowledge management and secrets management and to propose and implement solutions to improve these areas in the company. In the first part of the thesis, checklists are defined and used to analyze the current state. This is followed by the design part, which focuses on the selection of several solutions using a set of criteria. The design also includes modification and definition of necessary processes. In the implementation part of the thesis, the selected solutions are deployed and configured in the company's production environment. The modified processes are supported by the new solutions. The last part of the thesis is devoted to validation through interviews and test cases. By means of the retrospective evaluation of the checklists, a noticeable improvement of the addressed areas in the company has been achieved.
