Tourism in Visegrad countries with a focus on distant markets

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na cestovní ruch v zemích Visegrádské čtyřky. První část práce analyzuje spolupráci těchto zemí v oblasti cestovního ruchu a charakterizuje cestovní ruch v jednotlivých zemích Visegrádské čtyřky. Důraz je kladen převážně na ekonomické ukazatelé a to na hrubý domácí produkt vygenerovaný cestovním ruchem, zaměstnanost a příjmy z cestovního ruchu. Nechybí ani zhodnocení materiálně-technické základny, aktivního cestovního ruchu a nejdůležitějších zdrojových trhů. Další část bakalářské práce se zaměřuje na vysílající země, které v posledních letech představují významné zdrojové trhy pro Visegrádskou čtyřku a to na Čínu, Spojené státy americké a Rusko. Všechny tyto zdrojové trhy jsou detailně analyzovány z pohledu aktivního cestovního ruchu. V poslední části práce je na základě získaných sekundárních statistických údajů a teoretických znalostí stanoven zdrojový trh s největším potenciálem v následujících letech. Závěrem jsou navrhnuty změny a postupy, které by měly země Visegrádské čtyřky zohlednit za účelem uspokojení potřeb turistů z dané vysílající země.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on tourism in Visegrad countries. The first part analyzes mutual cooperation of these countries in the tourism field and characterizes tourism in the individual Visegrad countries. An emphasis is placed mainly on economic indicators and on the gross domestic product, employment and receipts generated form tourism. The material-technical base, active tourism and the most important source markets are taken into consideration as well. The next part of the thesis focuses on the sending countries, which represent major source markets for the Visegrad Group such as China, the United States and Russia. All these source markets are analyzed in detail in terms of inbound tourism. In the last part one source market with the greatest potential in the forthcoming years is determined on the basis of secondary statistical data and theoretical knowledge. Finally, some changes and procedures are recommended, which Visegrad countries should consider in order to meet the needs of tourists from the sending country.
