The Economic Impact of the Migration in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem migrace na ekonomiku České republiky. Teoretická část je věnována literární rešerši zaměřené na problematiku mezinárodní migrace ve vztahu k ekonomice státu. Na teoretická východiska navazuje praktická část, která je zacílena na analýzu současného stavu dopadů migrace na ekonomiku České republiky. Protože mezinárodní migrace, coby riziko ekonomického vývoje, má primární vztah k velikosti lidského kapitálu v ekonomice, má tedy potenciál primárně zasáhnout do stability trhu práce. Proto pro účely diplomové práce byl vybrán ukazatel nezaměstnanosti, vůči kterému byly analyzovány možné dopady mezinárodní migrace v podmínkách České republiky. Analytická část porovnává hrubou míru migrace a míru nezaměstnanosti pomocí regresní analýzy. Podpůrnou metodou byla vybrána a použita SWOT analýza. V aplikační části je provedena komparace vývoje ekonomik a dopadů mezinárodní migrace v zemích visegrádské čtyřky, mj. také za využití nástroje regresní analýzy.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with migration's influence on the Czech Republic's economy. The theoretical part is dedicated to literature research focused on the issue of international migration concerning the state's economy. The theoretical starting points are followed by the practical part, which is aimed at analyzing the current state of migration's impact on the Czech Republic's economy. Because international migration, as a risk to economic development, has a primary relationship with the size of human capital in the economy, it has the potential to affect the stability of the labor market primarily. Therefore, for the diploma thesis, the unemployment indicator was chosen, against which the possible impacts of international migration in the conditions of the Czech Republic were analyzed. The analytical part compares the gross migration and unemployment rates using regression analysis. SWOT analysis was chosen and used as a supporting method. In the application part, a comparison of the development of economies and the impact of international migration in the countries of the Visegrad Four is made, including using the regression analysis tool.
