The influence of religion on the provision of tourism services for Arab tourists

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma Vliv náboženství na poskytování služeb cestovního ruchu pro arabské turisty navazuje na autorčinu práci bakalářskou, která se podrobně věnovala vlivu náboženství na vývoj etiky a etikety v arabských zemích. Analýza vzájemné interakce poskytovaných služeb cestovního ruchu s náboženstvím arabských turistů je založena na shromáždění primárních a sekundárních dat. Jádro práce rozebírá arabsko-islámská interkulturní specifika, se kterými jsou konfrontováni jak poskytovatelé, tak příjemci služeb cestovního ruchu. Mezi nejdůležitější závěry práce se řadí tvrzení, že arabská klientela je pro lázeňství České republiky zdrojovým trhem. Druhým významným tvrzením je, že poskytovatel služeb zaměřený na příslušníky arabských zemí (SA, SAE) musí dostatečně znát kulturní a náboženské odlišnosti dané klientely. Návrhová část diplomové práce se zaměřuje na změny, návrhy a doporučení, které povedou k celkovému zlepšení a přizpůsobení služeb pro arabskou klientelu.

Abstract:

The theme of this Master’s dissertation, The Influence of Religion on the Provision of Tourism Services for Arab Tourists, follows up on the author‘s Bachelor‘s thesis, which detailed the influence of religion on ethics and etiquette in the Arabic world. Analysing the mutual interaction of provided tourism services with the religion of Arab tourists rests on collected primary and secondary data. The core of the dissertation discusses Arab-Islamic intercultural specificities with which both the provider and recipients of tourism services are confronted. One of the most important conclusions of the dissertation is that Arab clientele make up a source market for the Czech spa industry. The second important claim is that service providers specializing in Arab tourists (SA, UAE) must adequately know the cultural and religious differences of this clientele. The proposal part of this Master dissertation focuses on changes, proposals and recommendations, which will lead to general improvement and adaptation of services for Arab clientele.
