Flexible working arrangements as a tool for harmonization of work and family life of the advisors of Citizen's Advice Bureau in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Záměrem této diplomové práce bylo zodpovědět hlavní výzkumnou otázku: Do jaké míry se odborným poradcům občanských poraden v České republice daří harmonizovat rodinu a práci prostřednictvím flexibilních forem zaměstnání? Teoretická část v úvodu vysvětluje vazbu mezi rodinou a prací v průběhu času, protože právě vývoj vztahu mezi rodinou a prací měl velký vliv na současné fungování rodiny. V dalších kapitolách teoretické části práce se autorka zabývá vysvětlením pojmu „slaďování rodinného a pracovního života“, popisuje možné formy flexibilních forem práce, jejich výhody a nástrahy a jiné praktiky či opatření pro slaďování. Poslední kapitola předkládá stručné informace o fungování občanských poraden v České republice a definuje odborného poradce poskytujícího odborné sociální poradenství v občanské poradně sdružené v Asociaci občanských poraden. Na teoretickou část navazuje kapitola zabývající se metodikou výzkumu a následuje empirická část. V kapitole zabývající se metodikou výzkumu je popsán cíl výzkumu, strategie výzkumu, vybraná technika sběru dat, volba výzkumného vzorku, realizace a limity výzkumu a operacionalizace výzkumné otázky. Empirická část diplomové práce pak analyzuje zjištěná data a interpretuje výsledky. V závěru práce jsou shrnuta hlavní zjištění výzkumu.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to answer the main question: To what extent advisors of Citizen's Advice Bureau in the Czech Republic manage to harmonize family and work through flexible forms of employment? The theoretical part begins by explaining the link between family and work over time, because the development of the relationship between family and work had a great impact on the contemporary family functioning. In the next chapters of the theoretical part the author explains the term "reconciling work and family life", describes the possible forms of flexible forms of work, their benefits and pitfalls and other practices or measures for reconciliation. The last chapter presents brief information about the functioning of Citizen's Advice Bureau in the Czech Republic and defines the adviser providing social counseling in Citizen's Advice Bureau associated in the Association of Citizen´s Advice Bureau. The theoretical part is followed by a chapter dealing with research methodology and is followed by empirical part. In the chapter dealing with the research methodology objective research, strategy research, selected data collection technique, research sample selection, implementation and limitations of the study and operationalization of research question are described. The empirical part of the thesis analyzes the recorded data and interprets results. The conclusion summarizes the main findings of the research.
