Romani music in the traditions of national minorities and its place in the contemporary music scene
Abstract:
Práce se zabývá romskou hudbou, její tradičností a významem pro romskou kulturu. Zároveň zkoumá různé skupiny Romů, snaží se odpovědět na otázku jejich rozdílnosti a vnímání hudby jako celku. Závěrečná kapitola je věnována dnešnímu pojetí romské hudby a umělcům, kteří dál přebírají hudební tradici a prezentují se na české hudební scéně.
Abstract:
The thesis deals with Romani music, its traditions and significance for Romani culture. At the same time it examines different groups, trying to answer question of their differences and perceptions of music as a whole piece. The final chapter is devoted to today´s concept of Romani music and also artists who continue to take over the music tradition and present themselves at the Czech music scene.
