Management of the water-supply company (middle management)

Abstract:

Ve své práci Management ve vodárenské společnosti zaměřené na střední management je mým záměrem věnovat se náročnosti změn v chování manažerů v prostředí přirozeného monopolu Středočeských vodáren. Stěžejní oblasti jsou zde zaměřeny na hlavní organizační role manažerů. V teoretické části popisuji obecně pojetí managementu a věnuji se základním organizačním teoriím manažerské činnosti. V praktické části se věnuji vzniku, vývoji a aktuálnímu stavu ve vodárenské společnosti. Podrobněji se zabývám organizační rolí manažerů ve firmě, nástupnickými plány a programem zvyšování hodnoty. V závěru je mým cílem objasnění pozice manažera v přirozené měnící se monopolní vodárenské společnosti, seznámení s jeho aktuální situací a uvedení několika doporučení pro zlepšení řídící činnosti manažerů.

Abstract:

In my essay Management of Waterwork Copany focused on „the middle management“ I deal with the severe changes in behaviour of the managers in the environment of the natural monopoly Central – Bohemian Waterwork. I particularly concentrate on the main organizational roles of the managers. In the theoretical part I describe management in general and I pursue the basic organizational theories of the managerial activity. In the practical part I follow the origin, the development and the up-to-date state in the waterwork company. My work concerns in greater details the organizational role of the managers in the firm, the succession plans and the scheme of the increasing value. I conclude my work with the aim to clarify the position of the manager in the naturally changing monopoly of waterwork, to get to know its up-to-date situation and to mention some recommendations how to improve the controlling function of the managers.
