Cloud office for small businesses - Google Apps and Office 365

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci se zaměřuji na balík cloudových kancelářských služeb neboli "online kanceláře" pro malé podniky. Zaměřuji se na dva velké hráče na trhu - Google Apps a Office 365. Online kancelář otevírá nové možnosti řízení a kooperaci týmu jakékoliv firmy. Jak již z názvu práce vyplývá, tato práce se zabývá malými společnostmi do deseti zaměstnanců, které si nákladné desktopové řešení nemohou dovolit. V teoretické části práce seznamuje čtenáře s pojmem Cloud computing a co to jsou cloudové služby. Je zde také zmíněno dělení a moduly nasazení. V praktické části jsou vytyčeny tři hlavní cíle. Prvním z nich je popis online kanceláří a uvedení výhod, které s sebou přinášejí. Druhým cílem je detailní popis a porovnání produktů společností Google a Microsoft na základě zvolených metrik. Třetím cílem je uvedení rozdílů mezi on-demand a on-premises řešením kancelářského balíku od společnosti Microsoft. Mezi hlavní přínosy práce patří nalezení a popis aktuálního trendu mezi online kancelářemi. Dalším přínosem je samotné porovnání obou hlavních produktů. Každý produkt je specifický, a proto je jasné, že výsledkem porovnání není jednoznačný vítěz, nýbrž vyjmenování daných specifik a doporučení pro firmy. Výsledek bakalářské práce tedy využije například manažer firmy při rozhodování mezi kancelářským balíkem.

Abstract:

In my thesis i focus on the cloud office package of services, in other words "office online" for small businesses. I will specifically focus on two leaders of the market - Google Apps and Office 365. Office online gives us new means of guidance and team cooperation in any company. This thesis takes a look at small businesses up to ten employes,that are not able to afford an expensive desktop solution. In reference to the theory of Cloud computing I will explain the meaning of the services and how they work. I will reference the uses of the seperation and deployment modules. The practical part includes three main goals. The first goal is to describe the online offices and explain its advantages. The second goal is a detailed description and comparison of the products of Google and the Microsoft company based on metrics. The last goal is to outline the differences between on-demand and on-premise solutions of the Microsoft office package. The main benefit of the thesis is to find and describe the current trend in online offices. The other benefit is comparing both of the main products. Each product is specific so it is understandable that the result will not be a clear winner. The result will be the listing of the specifics and recommendations for the company. So the result of entire thesis is so that any manager could search for an online office service and make their decision.
