On-line work in low-threshold services for children and youth

Abstract:

V diplomové práci „On-line práce v nízkoprahových službách pro děti a mládež“ se zaměřuji na využívání internetových nástrojů jako prostředku pro sociální práci v nízkoprahových zařízeních pro děti a mládež. V teoretické části se zaměřuji především na charakteristiku systému sociálních služeb v České republice. Místo nízkoprahových služeb v systému sociálních služeb a charakteristiku nízkoprahových služeb pro děti a mládež. Velmi důležitá je také definice cílové skupiny, která je určující pro tuto formu práce. Dále se zaměřuji na oblast informačních technologií, především Internetu. Jeho možnosti a vliv na život člověka. V nízkoprahových službách pro děti a mládež máme možnost využívat sociální sítě, chatové aplikace nebo webové stránky jako prostředek ke kontaktu s cílovou skupinou či vyhledávání cílové skupiny. Spojením těchto dvou oblastí vzniká tzv. on-line práce, či streetwork on-line. Tato forma práce stále skýtá mnoho nevyjasněných otázek. Výzkumnou část jsem zaměřila na zmapování situace využívání formy on-line práce v nízkoprahových službách v ČR. Dalším cílem mé diplomové práce bylo zjistit, jakým způsobem vnímají využívání těchto nástrojů samotní pracovníci.

Abstract:

The thesis "On-line work in low-threshold services for children and youth" focuses on use of the internet tools as an instrument for social work in the low-threshold facilities for children and youth. In the theoretical section, I focus primarily on the characteristics of the system of social services in the Czech Republic as well as on the position of the low-threshold services and characteristics of the low-threshold services for children and youth. Very important is also the definition of the target group, which is critical for this form of work. Then I focus on the information technologies, especially the internet with its abilities and effects on human life. In the low-threshold services for children and youth it gives us the opportunity to use social networks, chat applications or web sites as a tool for contacting the target group or finding the target group. By combining these two areas there is the so-called on-line work or the streetwork online. This form of work still leaves many unresolved questions. The research part is focused on the mapping the situation of use of the on-line work in the low-threshold services in the Czech Republic. Another objective of this thesis is to determine how the workers themselves perceive the use of these tools.
