The role of public administration in solving problems associated with the existence of brownfields

Abstract:

Předložená diplomová práce je zaměřena na roli veřejné správy při řešení problémů spojených s existencí brownfieldů. Cílem diplomové práce je na základě dostupných zdrojů informací zhodnotit úlohu veřejné správy v procesech regenerace brownfieldů na vybraných příkladech. Vybranými příklady jsou důlní díla na území okresu Karviná v Moravskoslezském kraji. Pro práci byla využita metoda sběru dat z dostupných veřejných zdrojů a databází. Dále byly použity metody popisu a srovnání. Teoretická část se zabývá pojmem brownfield, dále typologií, regenerací a financováním brownfieldů a také rolí veřejné správy v problematice brownfieldů. V praktické části jsou pak analyzovány brownfieldy v Moravskoslezském kraji s důrazem na brownfieldy po důlních provozech v okrese Karviná.

Abstract:

The presented diploma thesis is focused on the role of the public service during the solving problems related with existence of brownfields. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the roles of public service in process of regeneration of the brownfields on selected examples based on available sources of information. Selected examples are the mining works on territory of district Karviná in Moravian-Silesian region. In the thesis was used the method of collection of data available from public resources and databases. Furthermore were used the methods of description and comparison. The theoretical part is focused on the concept of brownfield, typology, regeneration and financing of brownfields as well as the role of public service in the issue of brownfields. Thereafter in the practical part are analyzed brownfields in Moravian-Silesian region with the emphasis on brownfields after mining works in the Karviná district.
