Structural funds as a factor for regional development

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá možnostmi rozvoje mikroregionů a jejich projektů, které mohou být financovány ze strukturálních fondů. Je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části jsou nejprve definovány stanovené cíle, na které navazují metody a zdro-je práce. Poté je popsán regionální rozvoj, současně jsou uvedeny důvody jeho realizace a regionální politika jako celek. V poslední kapitole teoretické části je definován pojem mikroregion a také jsou nastíněny důvody vzniku mikroregionů. Praktická část je zaměřena na přínosy vzniku mikroregionů, hlavní cíle strategií rozvoje mikroregionů, překážky realizace projektů a zdroje financování. Součástí je vyhodnocení dotazníkového šetření ve vybraných mikroregionech. Následně je zpracována SWOT ana-lýza Mikroregionu Matice Slezská a v závislosti na současných slabých stránkách byla navržena opatření pro období 2011 ? 2020, která lze financovat ze strukturálních fondů Evropské unie.

Abstract:

This piece of work deals with possibilities of development of micro regions and their pro-jects, which can be financed from structural funds. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, there are firstly defined fixed goals and then there are methods and sources of this work, which are connected with these targets. Thereafter, there is a descrip-tion of the regional development and at the same time there are mentioned reasons for its realization and the regional politics as the unit. In the last part of the theoretical section, there is a definition of the term of micro region. Finally, there are also mentioned the rea-sons for the origins of micro regions. The practical part is concentrated on benefits of formation of micro regions, the main tar-gets of strategies of development of micro regions, barriers of realization of projects and sources of finances. There is also a part where can be found the results of questionnaire from the chosen micro regions. Then, there is SWOT analysis of the micro region called Matice Slezská and in connection with current weaknesses there was suggested steps for the period 2011 ? 2020, which can be financed from the structural funds of European Un-ion.
