The territorial dimension of regional policy with an emphasis on integrated projects in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Záměrem diplomové práce je popsat hlavní charakteristiky programového období 2014-2020. Zdůrazněn je především význam územní dimenze v podmínkách České republiky, která je vymezena jako možnost koncentrovat prostředky z programů Evropských strukturálních a investičních fondů ve specifických typech území. Existence územní dimenze představuje základní podmínku umožňující realizaci integrovaných nástrojů, nového prvku regionální politiky Evropské unie. Cílem práce je hodnocení dopadů územní dimenze a navržení způsobu hodnocení těchto dopadů. Práce dochází k výsledkům, že mezi jednotlivými regiony sice existují určité rozdíly, ale dopad územní dimenze je celkově hodnocen jako významný, především z hlediska velikosti populace, na kterou působí.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe the main characteristics of the 2014-2020 programming period. In particular, the importance of the territorial dimension in the conditions of the Czech Republic, which is defined as an opportunity to concentrate funds from the European Structural investment funds in specific types of territories. The existence of a territorial dimension is an essential condition enabling the implementation of integrated instruments, a new element of the European Union's regional policy. The aim of the thesis is to assess the impacts of the territorial dimension and to suggest a way of evaluating these impacts. The thesis results from the fact that although there are some differences between regions, the impact of the territorial dimension is generally assessed as significant, especially in terms of the size of the population to which it affects.
