Social Business in the Austria and the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá sociálním podnikáním v Rakousku a v České republice s důrazem na gastronomii. Cílem bylo provést analýzu sociálního podnikání v obou státech a vybraných sociálních podniků. Následovalo porovnání sociálních podniků v Rakousku i v ČR z hlediska zdrojů financování, zaměstnávání znevýhodněných osob na trhu práce, jaké produkty a služby sociální podniky v gastronomii nabízejí a jaké jsou právní formy. Dílčím cílem bylo zjištění jaký je vztah Rakouska k sociální ekonomice a jaké jsou iniciativy podporující tento druh podnikání. První část práce, teoreticko-metodologická, se zabývá popisem sociálního podnikání, sociální ekonomiky v ČR a v Rakousku. Dále potom podkapitolou veřejného, společného stravování. Druhá analytická část poukazuje na výsledky získané z terénního výzkumu a osobních rozhovorů. Byly zvoleny dvě hypotézy. První, že české sociální podnikání v gastronomii nemá finanční podporu za strany státu jako je tomu v Rakousku – hypotéza byla zamítnuta z důvodů nedostatku získaných dat, které byly ovlivněny neochotou některých sociálních podnikatelů spolupracovat. Druhá hypotéza, že sociální podniky ve veřejném, společném stravování jsou v Rakousku podporovány pracovními úřady, jako zdroje veřejného financování byla na základě výsledků prokázána. Zkoumané sociální podniky v gastronomii ve Vídni (INIGO Restaurant, Michl´s Café Restaurant a Catering MAX) získávají podporu z veřejných zdrojů, resp. úřadů práce a financují mezi 42 – 49 % celkového ročního rozpočtu uvedených podniků. Další zjištěním bylo zaměstnávání transitních pracovníků v sociálních podnicích. Pracovníci patří mezi cílové skupiny osob, které podniky zaměstnávají a pomocí kvalifikace, školení apod. jsou zpět začleněni na primární pracovní trh.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with social entrepreneurship (business) in Austria and the Czech Republic with an emphasis on gastronomy. The aim was to analyze social entrepreneurship in both countries and selected social enterprises. Followed by comparing social enterprises in Austria and the Czech Republic in terms of funding sources, the employment of disadvantaged people in the labor market, what products and services of social enterprises in the catering offer and what are the legal forms. A secondary aim was to determine what is the relation of Austria to the social economy and what are the initiatives to support this kind of business. The first part, theoretical and methodological, deals with the description of social entrepreneurship, social economy in the Czech Republic and Austria. Furthermore, after the subchapter of the public catering. The second part highlights the analytical results obtained from field research and personal interviews. Two hypotheses were chosen. First, the Czech Social gastronomy business has financial support for the state as is the case in Austria - hypothesis has been rejected due to a lack of collected data, which were affected by the reluctance of some social entrepreneurs collaborate. The second hypothesis that social enterprises in the public and the catering industry in Austria supported employment services, such as public funding was based on the results shown. Social enterprises surveyed in gastronomy in Vienna (INIGO Restaurant, Michl's Café Restaurant and Catering MAX) receive support from public sources, respectively. Labour Offices and finance between 42-49 % of the total annual budget of those companies. Another finding was the transit workers' employment in social enterprises. Workers are among the target groups, which companies employ and use the skills, training, etc. Are integrated back to the primary labor market.
