Strategic planning in a four-ensemble theatre

Abstract:

Strategické plánování je klíčovým pro úspěšné fungování každé organizace, neziskové nevyjímaje. V rámci strategického plánování v kulturních organizacích však není možné aplikovat identické manažerské nástroje a postupy jako pro obchod či výrobu, ale je nutné každý manažerský zásah vyvažovat uvědoměním si specifické povahy kulturní služby sahající svým posláním až k duchovní kultivaci člověka. Strategické plánování je přitom jediným nástrojem, jehož prostřednictvím může být tvůrčí potenciál vytěžen nejen do umělecké, ale i obchodní úspěšnosti. Teoretická část magisterské diplomové práce představuje strategické plánování ve vícesouborovém divadle, přičemž jeho dílčí kroky byly konkretizovány v praktické části práce na příkladu čtyřsouborového Jihočeského divadla, p.o.. Čtyřsouborové divadlo bylo přitom naznačeno jako model čtyř divadel pod jednou střechou, kde se strategické plánování umocňuje o nepřetržité uvědomování si charakteristické povahy souborových specifik, které nesmí být zprůměrněné v jeden uniformní celek, jeden divadelní organismus, při zachování flexibilního provozního, uměleckého i marketingového zázemí.

Abstract:

Strategic planning is crucial for successfull functioning of every corporation incl. non profit-making one. But within the frame of strategic planning in cultural corporations is not possible to apply identical manager tools and procedures like those for trade or production. Every manager intervention must be well-balanced by realization of the specific charakter of cultural service ranging with its function up to spiritual cultivation of a human. Strategic planning is nevertheless the only tool through which the brainware can be extracted not only to artistic but also to business success. The theoretic part of this thesis presents strategic planning in a multi-ensemble theatre whereas its substeps were concretized in the practical part of the thesis at the example of the four-ensemble South-Bohemian theatre. The four-ensemble theatre was presented as a model of four theatres under one roof where the strategic planning is upgraded by continuous realization of the special character of ensemble specifics, which must not be averaged to one uniform unit, one theatre organism when keeping the flexible operating, artistic and marketing background.
