The use of X-ray images in conservation-restoration and museology

Abstract:

Within the bachelors thesis, a file with X-ray image of archeological findings, which are a part of conservatory-restorationist interventions documentation of various materials and collected items, will be described. Includes imagine digitalization of selected images is carried out. It is complemented by descriptions of finding circumstances. Next, it deals with, image treatment – sweeping the dust, fingerprints and storing into special packaging, is performed. In the last part of the thesis, the thesis deals with, the evaluation of importance of X-ray imaging for archeological interpretations and conservatory-restoration work.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca popisuje súbor RTG snímkou archeologických nálezov, ktoré sú súčasťou dokumentácie konzervátorsko-reštaurátorských zásahov, na rôznych materiáloch a zbierkových predmetoch. Zahrňuje obrazovú digitalizáciu vybraných snímkou, ktorú doplňujú popisky nálezových okolností. Ďalej rieši ošetrenie snímkou – odstránenie prachu, odtlačkov prstov a uloženie do špeciálnych obalov. V poslednom rade text bakalárskej práce, vyhodnocuje význam RTG snímkovania pre archeologické interpretácie a konzervátorsko–reštaurátorské práce.
