Intergenerational income inequality

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce na téma „Mezigenerační příjmová nerovnost“ je analýza důvodů vzniku příjmové nerovnosti mezi generacemi. První část práce poskytuje historický pohled na příjmovou nerovnost obecně a zmiňuje její nejzávažnější dopady. Druhá část se zabývá vlivy způsobující příjmovou nerovnost z pohledu nejen států EU, ale celkově vyspělých států. Klade si za cíl zjištění velikosti dopadu faktorů na jednotlivé generace a představuje teoretické vymezení problému. Tyto důvody jsou následně zkoumány v poslední části na datech pro Českou republiku zpracovaných Českým statistickým úřadem.

Abstract:

The subject of the thesis regarding “Intergenerational income inequality” is the analysis of the reasons for the income inequality between generations. The first part of the thesis provides a historical view of intergenerational income inequality in general and mentions its most serious consequences. The second part deals with the effects of income inequality not only from the point of view of the EU states, but of the developed countries in general. It aims to determine the magnitude of the impact of factors on the individual generations and represents the theoretical definition of the problem. These reasons are subsequently examined in the last part of data for the Czech Republic prepared by the Czech Statistical Office.
