Tématem práce byl rozbor rozpočtu Evropské unie a jeho důležité výdajové složky, strukturálních fondů, zejména pak alokacím určeným pro Českou republiku. Práce byla rozdělena do tří základních částí. První část se věnovala počátkům integrace. Byla zde rozebrána první Společenství a počátky financování. Další část práce se věnovala evropskému rozpočtu, jeho historii a vývoji.
