Diplomová práce je věnována tématu hry a její roli v dnešním vzdělávání. Práce se skládá ze čtyř hlavních částí. První část popisuje vývoj hry v průběhu dějin. Druhá část zkoumá úlohu hry v psychologickém vývoji dětí, její význam zejména v raných letech a také právo dětí na hru. Třetí část je věnována používání jazykových her při výuce cizího jazyka.
