Práce se zabývá rolí římského senátu na přelomu 5. a 6. století, které je spojeno s vládou ostrogótského krále Theodericha Velikého. Začátek práce pojednává obecně o roli římského senátu v pozdní antice. Pozornost je věnována i dějinám Gótů a obecnému vývoji ostrogótského státu. Abstract:
The bachelor's thesis deals with the role of the senate in the time of Theoderic the Great. Beginning of the thesis describe the general role of the roman senate in the late antiquity. Attention is also paid to the history of the Goths and the general development of their state. Main focus is on the relation between Theoderic and the roman senate.
